In the Bostandyk district there was a festival competition "Zhas өrken" among students of colleges of non-creative specialties, in which the students of the college of the University "Turan" took part.
The grand opening took place on October 9, 2017, where the participants of the event were greeted by the deputy akim of Bostandyk district, Marzhan Balbayeva.
- This year's festival "Zhas Yerken" is held within the framework of the program of the Head of State "Ruhani zhangyrou". The idea of the event is to popularize national culture and art. “I am deeply convinced that the festival will give a new impetus to the development of culture and will open new opportunities for our young talents. "Zhas Yerken" is another milestone in the development of art, “said Marzhan Balbaeva.
For two days students from 11 colleges of the Bostandyk district competed in three categories - artistic reading, vocals and essays.
Today the strict jury selected the best of 53 participants and in two nominations the students of the Turan College won:
- in the nomination "Vocal" 1st place was taken by Kohanova Julia, gr. ST-16-1;
- in the nomination "Essay" 1st place was taken by Nurmukhambetov Abzal, gr. SF-17-1.
